Institute

About us

An independent initiative for education, culture and research on Arab Alawism.

Mission

To teach the history, faith and cultural heritage of Arab Alawism in a reliable, clear and multilingual way – and to build a bridge between young people and the bearers of tradition.

Vision

To become an independent academy that serves as an international point of reference on Arab Alawism, offering education, research and cultural exchange in four languages.

  • Education and knowledge

Clear and reliable programmes on history, faith, philosophy and language.

  • Cultural heritage

Documenting and keeping alive festivals, language, oral history and collective memory.

  • A bridge between generations

A space where young people can ask questions and meet the bearers of tradition.

Our values

Reliability
We do not present unverified information as fact.
Respect
We respect different interpretations, regional traditions and people.
Discretion
We do not publish matters of faith that are traditionally protected.
Openness
Education in four languages, open to women and men.

Independence

Alevilik Akademisi is an independent initiative. It is not an official body of AAAF, BAAB or any other association and does not speak on their behalf. The academy is not a university; its certificates do not replace state-recognised qualifications and confer no religious status.

Founding phase

The initiative is in its founding phase. Its legal form, board and its scholarly and religious advisory boards will be presented here once they are in place.
